3D Printer Guide 2015: the “makers” score their 3D printers

Makergear-M23D Hubs, network which federates nearly 10,000 3D printers, has just published a rather unique study, the 3D Printer Guide. This guide is not a new theoretical study, the performance of the market 3D printers, but a compilation of the opinions of their users. Many of their users actually since they are very exactly 2.279 users verified to have delivered their opinion on their machines. Experience made of 317,000 prints made on 235 different printer models… 1623 accumulated years of printing! The classification delivered by 3D Hubs presents some surprises and 18 printers selected by the Makers are not necessarily the most newsworthy.

235 deemed printers, 5 rankings

M2

The Makergear M2, printer best noted for 3D printing enthusiasts.

Printrbot Simple Metal, 3D less than $600 printer.

Printrbot Simple Metal, 3D less than $600 printer.

The most followed category by the makers, the kit printers, emphasizes the print quality, support and reliability. It is a straight project come to Indiegogo that carries this ranking, the RostockMAX, the RepRap Mendel90 and the Kossel of the same designer. Ultimaker finally managed to place his Original + Ultimaker in the ranking.
Small budgets should take a look at the Simple Metal Printrbot. It is this from Kickstarter printer that takes the most of suffrage in this category. It is sold less than $ 600 and it is clearly a bargain according to its buyers. It is in any case better than the Sharebot Kiwi, FlashForge Creator and the UP! Mini more expensive but less well noted.
Finally, the classification place the Form 1 + Formlabs led printers Stereolithography, before the B9Creation B9Creator, $3.299 and $3.490 respectively sold machines.
