eHealth: 4.7 million Europeans are already connected

eSantéWhile we are still that the dawn of the rise of connected objects, 4.7 million Europeans already enjoy the benefits of telemedicine. This figure, calculated by experts from the Swedish firm Berg Insight includes both ‘traditional’ as the most innovative systems telemedicine services, emerging on the market. Carried by these innovations, the connected health market will experience a growth rate supported until 2019. In average annual growth of 19.2%, the number of patients will then rise to 13.7 million. Global aging of the population of the continent, but also the control of health spending by European Governments in the 28 + 2 countries covered by the study are of solid motors for this growth.
