Xavion, the app that turns the iPad into Copilot

XAvionAustin Meyer is a well known personality in the world of aviation simulation. It is to him we owe the X-Plane series. This prolific developer has created a new application for iOS: Xavion.
It is not an app simulation, but a real help for real planes flying software this time. Connected to the autopilot of the type aircraft TruTrak, a system dedicated to light aircraft, the application can even take the handle and control the device. Connected to the GPS of the aircraft, the iPad is transformed into “Glass Cockpit”, digital dashboard, at a fraction of the price of aeronautical displays. Obviously, the application is not approved by the FAA and cannot replace the instrumentation, but true fly from his iPhone or the iPAd, it is now possible.

Xavion-Takeoff

With Xavion, the border between simulation and reality fades as it can connect to a device or to the X-Plane
